Chevron Amethyst Polished Chunks

Amethyst is one of the OGs of calming crystals, placed under your pillow at night it is said to help bring restful sleep and pleasant dreams. Amethyst however has a much richer history than that, dating back to Greek Mythology, including its name. Amethyst translates from Greek to "not drunken", in fact an old wives tale says to drop an amethyst into a glass of alcohol you are drinking, and you shall never be drunk (though we wouldn't suggest doing this as it's likely in your drunk state to swallow said amethyst).

Amethyst still offers a lot more to us though, it is a stone of spiritual awareness and protection. When used in meditation it can help open channels or communication. It is thought to help with addictive behaviours and helping one to overcome though, especially for those suffering from alcohol abuse. 

Dream Amethyst is also known as Chevron Amethyst. It is a combination of Amethyst and White Quartz. These two materials mix together to make a V-shaped or banded pattern. Quartz is well known to strength and enhance the crystal it is with, so in this case the Quartz strengthens the stress-relieving qualities of Amethyst. With gorgeous shades of purple this amazing stone can help bring tranquility and peace while having a deep spiritual connection to the world around us.
