Echinacea is a plant we have all of heard of and now you can grow it yourself. This wonderful plant is rich in antioxidants that have been known to help support the immune system. It is best known for being a herbal remedy for colds and flu, reducing inflammation and overall boosting the immune system.

This beautiful purple flower has a prominent central cone, giving it the more common name of "coneflower". It is a plant loved by bees and butterflies and makes a lovely addition to any garden. After your beautiful little seeds mature into plants and bloom, you can cut the flower for ornate reasons or to use it as medicinal herb in a tea.

Spiritually echinacea has a rich history as being considered a sacred plant with powerful spiritual properties by many Native American cultures. It is believed to be able to ward off evil and negative energies. It is also said to have a calming effect on the body and the mind, making it an ideal choice of tea to be taken before meditation. It is said that when the flowers of this plant are placed inside of dream pillows it can help to promote peaceful and restful sleep.

The flower meaning of echinacea is often related to strength, resilience and its healing powers. Echinacea was sometimes used in love charms and protection magic against negative energies. It is considered a lucky plant and can be used to attract positive energy to area it grows in.
